  • confessions of a law student

    i know, i know. it's been ages since i wrote. Excuse no.1 (and the rest): LAW SCHOOL.

    it's been crazy busy but i do get to enjoy my weekends. you're just lucky i haven't ranted off here because i've had several undergrad-like episodes with last minute reading, writing, etc. ohhhh the joy of being back in school.

    you know i love it :) it's so nice being back in the academic environment. weirdly, it feels like i've been here forever. i can't believe a couple months back i was working 9-5. i miss my job and the freedom (and money!) that came with it, but i'm loving being back home, back in school, back near the friends.

    it's been a change, for sure. but it's a good change.

    ok really need to get to bed. more later!

  • Something has to go out of whack

    Tomorrow's my last day.

    Yet my computer had to screw up two days before it.

    I wanted to listen to some Tamil music and went to a safe site. But a popup came and I freaked out and I closed my browser, cleaned the cache and everything.

    Then I decided to nose around the Temp files folder to clean that up. Computer conked. Now my anti-virus and anti-Malware won't work.

    ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

    To do: Leave a note saying computer needs to be cleaned up. Hurrah.

  • The Illini sure have come a long way since 2004...

    Or should I say gone back a long way since then? I just saw the score for the Illini vs. Ohio State game yesterday: we lost 6-1. SIX. ONE.

  • good heavens it's been ages

    it has, hasn't it? i just haven't had time to blog lately. and really, nothing TO blog. it's been a busy few months and i cannot believe that the leaves are turning green, the weather's getting warmer and summer is just around the corner. i freaking love it, of course!

    it's so hard for me to believe that it has been nearly two years since graduation. i miss school so much. of course, i miss the life that undergrad offered, but i find that i just miss learning. i miss studying. there's a life about the student that's desirable for me. i'll be returning to it soon, i hope :)

    ummm what else? hardly anyone's in at work today. everyone's out except for a handful of us, so it's a bit strange. i'm already ready for the weekend :D

  • A bit of catch up

    Ooh it's been a while since i posted here. Biggest news since last time is that RAFA WON THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN. HELLZ YEAH.

    was definitely very happy about that.

    ummmmmm what else. i started watching the new bbc version of sense and sensibility last night and love it so far. obviously i completely love david morrissey as colonel brandon. i really like the emma thompson version but because this one is more of an 'unabridged' sort of series, it's more interesting because i see a lot of parallels to the tamil adaptation kandukondain kandukondain, things i didn't really catch in the emma thompson version.
    i do think the actor playing edward ferrars in this new one is sort of channeling hugh grant. but it's all good. :)

    ok, i'm going to get back to writing, do some work. i've actually been getting some ideas for the magnum opus so i'm going to get cracking on that. till later!
